Hair Update: Length Check

So this post is long over due! I just wanted to do a quick update on my hair and all it’s curly glory.
I haven’t been able to do the protective styles like I want, so I just been wearing the usual wash n’ go. I am still incorporating some flat twists and rolls, because I get tired of wearing it the same all the time. Just playing around one day, I discovered that by flat twisting the back of my hair up in two big chunks, starting from the bottom up, is cute and gives me options. I like this particular style because it gives the illusion that my hair is short in the back, when in reality, it’s just twisted up and secured with clips.
I have bc’d (big chopped) about three times during my journey. My last bc was August 9th, 2011…
So that means my anniversary is coming up less than a month away!
Then….

This was taken 8-20-11.
12-9-11
Now….

 What a difference a year makes…

I probably won’t do another ‘length check’ post until November. Hopefully before then I can get in some protective styles, so I won’t have to manipulate this hair too much. Plus, detangling this hair is time consuming and it’s something I’d rather not do. Not to mention I hate the shedding! There are some days I think about cutting it all off again. Then I suddenly snap out of it…and remember my goal: Long, lush, healthy hair!
Patience girl patience! :0)

Peace & Blessings,

  1. I literally LOVE your TWA! You definitely have the right attitude. Patience is key. Also, I'm almost two years natural and I have moments where I miss my TWA. Enjoy the short hair while it lasts. 🙂
